Mark your calendar for this annual event encouraging volunteerism at the Museum. So many areas and programs require the assistance of volunteers. Each year the Museum looks forward to adding new faces to the dedicated group of individuals that make a lot of programs possible. Java Jive includes a staff introduction, a brief overview of the volunteer program and light refreshments. Volunteers may donate their time and talents as often as they wish and even train to become a Docent. Plan to attend this fun event and become a Mobile Museum of Art volunteer.

Each year the Mobile Museum of Art provides dozens of programs for the public and participates in numerous community activities that would not be possible without volunteers. Through hands-on service volunteers make it possible for the Museum to further its mission while developing their interest in the arts. Museum programs such as Art Blast!, Art All Year Long, Masterpiece Birthday Parties, school and walk-in tours as well as outreach events like BayFest, Festival of Flowers and Arts Alive are just some of the programs that would be severely reduced without volunteers.
Becoming a Museum volunteer is a rewarding experience, offering a creative and enjoyable place to meet new people, develop useful skills and gain personal enrichment through community service. Other benefits include invitations to member functions, the Museum's newsletter, free admission to classes and lectures and an invitation to the annual volunteer recognition event.
